There is a range of franchise businesses to suit different investment levels, lifestyle goals, and more.
Often in franchising, these are divided into four broad categories:
Service Franchises
These franchises provide service to clients, rather than selling products. Some service franchises are also classed as mobile franchises and are listed in that category below.
Think Valenta BPO, Mail Boxes etc, Snap Print and Design, BathroomWerx, Mortgage Choice, Bridgestone Select, Expense Reduction Analysts, Action COACH, Listen to Your Body, Quest Apartment Hotels, Sports Star Academy, and Home Caring.
Mobile Franchises
Mobile franchises operate out of a van or with no fixed office address, so you don’t have to pay rent on a retail space. They often travel to the consumer and are likely to be performing strongly in the current COVID environment. Some mobile franchises also offer multiple formats and may cross over into other categories too.
Think: PACK & SEND, Aussie Pooch Mobile, Graffiti Eaters, Wheel Change U, Gutter-VAC, Nurse Next Door, Senior Helpers, and ANZ Mobile Lending.
Retail (Food and Beverage) Franchises
As the name suggests this category serves food and/or drink, and generally operates out of fixed premises. Some Retail (Food and Beverage) franchises have different offerings. For example, Acai Brothers offer a flagship retail space option, a hole in the wall option, and a mobile food truck option too.
Think: Ben & Jerrys, FoodCo, Craveable Brands, Soul Burger, Acai Brothers, Sushi Sushi, Subway, Roll’d Vietnamese.
Retail (non-food) Franchises
These businesses sell products from a fixed location. Some retail franchises also have a mobile offering and/or also offer services as well as sell products so may crossover into other categories too.
Think: The Lott, Just Cuts, Bridgestone Select, Mortgage Choice, Snap Print & Design, PoolWerx, 7 Eleven
